Queer/trans foxtrot (workshop)

You love dancing but you are tired of heteronormative couple dancing? Then you are welcome to join us and give queer/trans foxtrot a try! We learn how to lead, to follow and how to change roles within the same dance.

Everyone can dance – no previous dance experience is required. Everyone dances with everyone – you don’t need to bring a dance partner. No special equipment is needed.

The introduction will be held by Peter and Bent from the dance school Queer Salsa Stockholm. (Eng)

Den Samtida Translitteraturen (panelsamtal)

Välkommen till ett samtal där transförfattare lyfter upp, bryter ned, dissikerar och hyllar Den Samtida Translitteraturen! Vi har såklart en bred definition av litteratur, så vi pratar både om skriven och talad, både om text och bild, både om tyst och sjungen, både om dåtida och framtida. Vi tar avstamp i den svenska litteraturen men rör oss även utanför språkets gränser. Följ med på äventyr! Känn igen dig och säg emot! Få inspiration och lästips!

Read aloud and experimental dramatization of the story the Last Child, A post-apocalyptic tale about growing up where the world has ended, humanity is scattered, and the gender binary is a superstitious belief from the old world.
With Timo Hedberg, trans, ace, aspie, introverted and in love with fictional worlds. Aspiring storyteller and writer, focusing on exploring gender, gender identity and queerness among other themes. (Eng)

Sex, lust och kommunikation (workshop)

Välkommen till en transseparatistisk workshop där vi lägger fokus på ord, lust, sexleksaker och säkrare sex! Tillsammans med workshopledare från RFSL finns här utrymme för reflektion, diskussion och frågor. Workshopen vänder sig till dig som är transperson eller har erfarenhet av att vara trans.

Guitar, Music and Lyrical creation (workshop)

Workshop for those wanting to jump into making own art in the realm of music.  In this workshop I’ll be sharing my tips, tricks and experience with music and how I’ve used influences, life experiences and other literary work to develop my own signature sound. Instrument is not required, but you are welcome to bring a guitar or the like, as the main focus will be on finding inspiration and putting said inspiration into tangible form, as lyrics or music; however, I’ll be more than happy to share some of my knowledge into the more technical part of guitar playing. All levels of musicianship are welcome, from rookie to pro, as I hope this’ll be a learning experience for everybody involved, including myself.

Translitteraturens dolda historia (samtal)

Under de senaste åren har den svenska translitteraturen exploderat i omfattning och utforskat många nya områden. Men hur ser translitteraturhistorien ut – och hur har olika sätt att se på kön format de litterära skildringarna? Skönlitteraturen har alltid rymt könsöverskridanden – från fornnordiska myter och antikens Grekland till Shakespeare, 1800-talsromanerna och 1900-talets explosion av självbiografiska berättelser. Detta samtal om skönlitteratur, normer och läsning bjuder på både boktips, bokvarningar och diskussioner.

Sam Holmqvist är litteraturvetare och har skrivit avhandlingen ”Transformationer: 1800-talets svenska translitteratur genom Lasse-Maja, C.J.L. Almqvist och Aurora Ljungstedt” (2017). Sebastian Lönnlöv är bibliotekarie och författare, bland annat till bokguiden ”HBTQ – Böcker bortom normen” (2014). Tillsammans satsar de på att skapa databasen Queerlitt, som ska samla svensk HBTQI-litteratur. (Sve)

Write & Fight/ Skrik & Skriv (workshop)

Join one of Sweden’s most active spoken word artists in a workshop to unleash your inner poet! No matter if you’ve never written poetry, never shared it or just never had the chance to  do so this workshop is for you! We’ll do a premium selection of writing exercises and if the participants desire also get some performance practice done. Come build friendship, poetryness and resilience!

Kom och släpp ut din inre poet under denna workshop med en av Sveriges mest aktiva spoken word artister! Det spelar ingen roll om du aldrig skrivit poesi, aldrig delat med dig av det du skriver eller aldrig haft chansen att göra det – denna workshop är för dig! Vi kommer göra speciellt utvalda skrivövningar och även performance-övningar om intresse finns. Kom och skapa vänskap, poesi och motstånd!

Activism, empowerment and sewing – Introducing two projects on DIY Binder Making and Trans Fashion (talk)

This talk introduces and discusses two projects: the Binder Project and the Trans Fashion Project. In the Binder Project, Anthony Wagner is developing DIY Binder Instructions together with their colleague Lena Håkansson. The Binder Project departs from the continued difficulty of getting a binder and explores options of shopping for or of making binders with the help of DIY instructions and workshops for trans people.

The Trans Fashion Project questions binary strategies of fashion and explores the options for (non-binary) trans bodies to counter invisibility and strengthen identity through clothes.

With Anthony Wagner, postdoc fellow in Design and Gender Studies at Linnaeus University (Växjö, Sweden). He/they/hen has studied Visual Media Design – Video at the University of Art and Design (Linz, Austria) and wrote his/their PhD on transgender, monsters and film at the Academy of Fine Arts (Vienna, Austria). Anthony´s research interests are transgender people, monsters, somatechnics, disability and crip theory, metadesign, inclusive design, participatory design, and norm-creativity. (Eng)

A Deal with the Universe, a film by Jason Barker

Documentary “A Deal With The Universe” is filmmaker Jason Barker’s debut feature. Autobiographical and made entirely from personal archive and home video diaries, the film follows Jason’s incredible story of how he came to give birth to his child, charting over 15 years of his and his partner’s life. This film is groundbreaking in terms of it’s intimate insights into gender identity and new parenthood. (Eng)

Nya lagar, nya villkor – förändringar av lagstiftning för transpersoner (panelsamtal)

De senaste åren har flera utredningar och nya lagförslag angående transpersoners levnadsvillkor lagts fram. Den offentliga utredningen ”Transpersoner i Sverige – Förslag för stärkt ställning och bättre levnadsvillkor lagen” (SOU 2017:92) presenterade ett omfattande empiriskt material om våra levnadsvillkor samt en rad förslag på möjliga förbättringar. Utredningen har nu varit ute på remiss och dagens panel kommer att ge oss sina reaktioner på de svar som inkommit samt försöka sia om vilka konkreta förslag som utredningen kommer att ge upphov till. Under sommaren 2018 lämnade regeringen, till lagrådet, remissen ”Vissa kirurgiska ingrepp i könsorganen och ändring av det kön som framgår av folkbokföringen” som syftar till att förändra och avsevärt förenkla möjligheterna att byta juridiskt kön. Remissen fick relativt hård kritik av lagrådet och panelen ger sin syn på förslagets framtid. (Sve)

Taking Ownership of our Bodies with Tattoos (Long Table conversation)

In partnership with StaDemonia Tattoo Stockholm, we’ll be joined by tattooist Mars Hobrecker from Brooklyn, NYC to talk about Tattoos, Queering Tattooing and our Trans bodies.

QUEER TATTOO is a project run by StaDemonia Tattoo which invites a number of international guest artists to Stockholm to expose their art and participate in conversations about Queer Tattooing, art and the creation of safe and inspiring places.

Come and join us on Sunday 31st March at 2pm on Trans Day of Visibility, when we’ll be sharing a Long Table conversation that everyone in the room is welcome to join in with. The Long Table is an open panel format where audience members can ‘take a seat at the table’ and join the debate, ask questions and share experiences.

Kids’ corner!
During our film festival in November, we had a kids’ corner for the first time and since it was so appreciated we have decided to have it again during this years culture & community festival. Bring your kids and leave them with our competent volunteers in the kids’ room while you listen to a talk or participating in a workshop. The kids room will be open both Saturday and Sunday and filled with toys, crafts and face-paint! Kids of all ages welcome! A big thank you to Babywearing Festival Sweden for lending us some toys.

Pop-up store
Justine & Juliette is a Swedish and vegan webshop for sextoys, trans gear and BDSM toys and tools. We bring to the festival our dildos, packers and STP harnesses from NYTC and Vixen, underwear from RodeoH and Homme Mystere – for FtM and MtF – and binders from Underworks. And we present our own strap-on harnesses from Loud Tailoring, made in Stockholm.

Board Games
During the entire weekend there will be board games to borrow and play with new or old friends at c.off!

Craft Corner
Get creative in the foyer at c.off! Our friends at Egalia have kindly let us borrow some of their crafting equipment and the craft corner will be open during the entire festival! We also have a pin-making machine so you can make your own pins!

Café
Hungry or craving something sweet? Come to the café in the foyer at c.off! On Saturday we will provide a dinner, come by the café and pick up you bowl of something warm.

Self-organized space
We will have a room available for you to organize your own activities. The room is available for booking Friday between 18:00-21:00, Saturday 19:00-21:00, and Sunday 12:00-16:00. If you have a project you want to start, a bookclub, a meeting, or some other kind of trans and gender-diverse community activity you are very welcome to use the room. Let us know!

 

OCKSÅ UNDER FESTIVALEN

Barnhörna
Under filmfestivalen i höstas hade vi för första gången någonsin en barnhörna, då den var uppskattad har vi beslutat oss för att ha en barnhörna även under denna festival. Vi har ett rum med leksaker, pyssel och ansiktsmålning som är öppet både lördag och söndag. Ni kan lämna era barn i barnrummet tillsammans med våra fantastiska volontärer medan ni själva lyssnar på en föreläsning eller deltar i en workshop. Barn i alla åldrar välkomna! Stort tack till Babywearing Festival Sweden som lånar ut leksaker till oss.

Är du hungrig eller fikasugen? Kom till cafeét i foajen på c.off! På lördag kommer vi bjuda på middag, kom förbi cafeet mellan 17:30-19:30 för att hämta varm mat.

Self-organized space
Det finns möjlighet för er att organisera egna aktiviteter i ett av rummen på c.off. Rummet är ledigt och går att boka fredag kl. 18:00-21:00, lördag 19:00-21:00 och söndag 12:00-16:00 för olika typer av aktiviteter för och av trans-communityt. Vill du starta upp ett projekt, en bokklubb, ett möte eller något helt annat.
