On Saturday 21st November 2015, the first Trans Film Fest Stockholm took place marking Trans Day of Remembrance (20 November).
Since 1999, this international day commemorates people who have been killed as a result of their gender identity and/or expression highlighting the violence experienced by trans and gender-diverse communities. Different community events are held around the world, bringing people together to engage with and support each other.
Trans Film Fest Stockholm takes place every year around Trans Day of Remembrance (20 November) in Stockholm, providing an opportunity to see films not usually screened in cinemas. We strive to create a safe space, to reflect upon diverse experiences and engage the audience in community through film.
Trans Film Fest Stockholm is one of Europe’s longest running trans film festivals. And we’re not going to stop anytime soon!
