About Trans Fest Stockholm

We are Trans Fest Stockholm. We are an organisation for and by trans, gender diverse people and our allies. We aspire to a create positive, inclusive and empowering celebration of trans and gender diverse culture and community.

✮ CALL FOR CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION TO THE TFS BOARD AND AUDITOR ✮ . Trans Fest Stockholm Election Committee (EC) is inviting nominations for election to the following positions: ★ Board Members: The Board is elected by the members to be the decision-making body between the AGMs & lead the organisation. The Board is made up of a Chairperson, Treasurer and 3-5 Board members. ★ Auditor: The Auditor’s role is to review that the Board has acted according to the statutes & finance regulations. . If you want to put yourself forward as a candidate, please send an email to: ElectionCommittee@transfeststockholm.org . Candidates are invited to include some information about themselves, for example, previous participation in TFS activities or other relevant experiences. . If you want to nominate someone else as a candidate, please send an email to: ElectionCommittee@transfeststockholm.org Nominations may include a short summary of reasons for your suggestion. . The deadline for proposals is 7 February 2020. . After this date, the EC will contact all interested people for interview. The EC will present its proposals for Board and Auditor at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in March 2020. . ★ ☆ ✮ ⚧ ★ ☆ ✮

COMMUNITY CALL FOR TRANS ACTIVISTS & PERFORMERS! . TRANS FEST STOCKHOLM is now working with our next big event, which is to create our Trans Culture Festival marking Trans Day of Visibility on the 31st of March. Join us March 28-31 for a festival filled with workshops, talks, brunch, etc...and this is where YOU come in. We can't do this without you. . Our Call to the Community: Are you an activist, artist, or performer who would like to participate & contribute to this trans community event? Would you like to lead a workshop or facilitate a space to discuss trans-related things? . We welcome proposals of anything & everything that you would like to contribute with: acting, activism, art, music, singing, community, intersectionality, language, parenting, poetry, politics, rights, safer spaces, academic, sci-fi, sex, solidarity, support, wishes… . We’re looking for actions & activities that empower, support and reflect our diverse community. . For workshops, please send us a brief proposal with the following information: • Name and a short description of yourself(yourselves). • Workshop/session title and language (English &/or Swedish) • A short description • Estimated length (75 mins or 45 mins or shorter) • Materials needed (Projector/Computer/Internet/Sound/Other: Please specify) • Other relevant information . If you are a singer, musician or performer, & you would like to contribute, please send us a brief description of your performance/music. . Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that your suggestion, workshop or performance will be chosen, but all ideas and suggestions are welcome! We are very sad to report that we once again have not received funding for this event, and this unfortunately means that we can’t offer any payment. .
